About John Mathieson

Since leaving school John has always worked on precision instruments, serving a three year apprenticeship in photographic repairs and working for British Airways as a senior technician repairing aircraft flight instruments.

John attended at West Dean College for two years and studied the conservation and restoration of antique clocks course. He became the first St Roche’s scholarship student, shortly after attaining accredited member of the British Horological Institute.

John is a professional clockmaker and is a member of the British Watch and Clockmakers Guild
